FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions - Bass
Most manufacturers build their amplifiers into the subwoofer. Why is Quested different?
The best combination is an amplifier matched to a speaker but housed in a separate metal case shielded from radiation and low frequency vibrations which would colour the sound.
What is the best way to integrate the SB10R into my set-up?
The SB10 can be used to extend the low frequency response of a smallish speaker, to reproduce the .1 signal in a 5 .1 system or both, using two or more units.
I have heard that 2 subwoofers are better than one. Why?
Two or more subwoofers will result in a more even spread of low frequencies in a room than one. One under the left monitor and another under the right will give a much more natural sound. And don’t forget, bass IS directional.
