It offers extended low frequency performance. Ideal in applications where extended or high levels of LF performance are required such as music mixes, film recording and effects channels.

The cabinet is constructed from 22 mm MDF with a 40 mm front baffle and cross braced for additional rigidity. The bass driver is a 457 mm (18”) unit with a 100 mm (4”), four-layer voice coil, triple rear suspension which allows an exceptionally large peak to peak movement of 50 mm.

The driver has an external radial chassis and vented magnet which results in far more efficient cooling of the voice coil. The benefits of this are less power compression, increased output and improved reliability.

The sub-woofer can be used with a variety of full range cabinets but is an ideal partner to the Quested HQ210, Q210 and Q212 and can also be used with the Q412 when exceptional levels of low bass or an effects channel is required.
