The name Sarm Music Village speaks for itself—it is a direct continuation of the legacy left by one of the UK’s most iconic studios: Sarm Studios.
When the original Sarm West Studios was closed in 2017 due to urban redevelopment in London’s Notting Hill, legendary producer Trevor Horn—whose name is synonymous with the studio’s golden era—sought not just to relocate, but to reimagine what a recording studio could be in the 21st century. The result was Sarm Music Village, a purpose-built, state-of-the-art facility in West London, carrying forward the spirit, ambition, and technical excellence of its predecessor.
Blending decades of experience with the demands of modern production workflows, Sarm Music Village features a full suite of high-end analog and digital gear, acoustically tuned spaces, and a forward-looking approach to immersive formats. At the heart of its monitoring environment is the Quested speaker system, chosen for its accuracy, musicality, and long-standing relationship with Horn’s production values.
While the studio reflects the changing face of the music industry—with flexible workspaces, remote collaboration capabilities, and scalable room configurations—it never loses sight of the tradition it inherits. Much like the original Sarm, the new space is designed to support not only world-class sound but also creative freedom.
Today, Sarm Music Village stands as both a tribute and an evolution: a modern recording hub that honors the influential legacy of Sarm West while continuing to shape the sound of contemporary music. For artists, engineers, and producers, it remains a place where timeless records are not just remembered—but still made.
